Reaching Dubai while spending less is possible today: recently, WIZZAIR has added many routes to Abu Dhabi (which is only an hour away from Dubai, we’ll explain it to you better in a moment).
From Italy, you can fly to Abu Dhabi with Wizzair from:
- Catania
- Bari (only for a few more months, they will apparently close the route after the summer of 2023)
- Naples
- Milan
- Rome
And there are a lot of European cities, like Budapest, Bucharest, Tirana, etc.
These cities, in turn, are connected by many Ryanair and Wizzair flights to other Italian cities.
Flights have an average price – at the time of writing – starting from €45 per leg, although obviously if you book too close to the departure date or during peak seasons (e.g. Christmas or Easter holidays), it may cost a bit more.
If none of these airports are convenient for you, also consider European stopovers! It could be a great solution to visit another city :)
We, departing from Pisa, visited Tirana thanks to the stopovers and returned to Catania.
Alternatively, if you want to fly directly to Dubai, there is FlyDubai, Emirates’ low-cost airline, but it costs more (about €200 each flight).
In THIS article, we will explain how to reach Dubai from Abu Dhabi: there are several ways, but the most convenient one is by using the new bus!
